We Were On a Break...

Hi everyone! It's been a little while since I did a blogpost, (sorry about that!) I've just been going through some things in my personal life and work life too which haven't been so enjoyable. So I gave up a little bit with blogging and took a break.

BUT I'm now back and ready to get back into it. So I've got a few blogposts saved ready to post. Thank the lord.

Okay, so during this little break I had a birthday! My 19th! And on this special occasion I got some rather lovely presents. Now I'm not going to post every single thing I got, just a couple of beauty products I got given. And even then I've halved what I got, just to make this post and show what I recommend everyone to go and buy!!

SO let's get into it.

Now I've always seen people on Instagram using NYX products, makeup artists, Instagram famous people, and general celebrities, and always started to log what they were and the shades. Being in England, it was rather hard to find NYX, you could always get them online, but then you would never know what the actual shade looked like in person and if you didn't like it you were stuck with it. But recently, a shop called Boots, started to sell NYX and I started to look online for shades, I wrote a couple down, so when I went into town I could easily find the shade I wanted. However with this certain shade, the moment I saw it online, I knew I would love it. So when I received it on my birthday from my little sister I couldn't wait to go and put it on my lips.
The shade is: Abu Dhabi.

I've always been a lover for Pandora. And have had a growing collection since last year, when my mum got me the Pandora bracelet and a couple charms for my 18th birthday. But this year, I got a rather good pay from work a couple days before my birthday so I thought I'd treat myself, and I did. Most things, unfortunately are not in this blog post, (but I will make a separate post!). But I thought I'd show, what charms I have.
- the 18 Charm
- Disney's 'Be Magical' Charm
- the elephant Charm
- Angel Fish Charm
- Birthday Cake Charm
- Openwork Heart Spacer
- Openwork Whirl Charm
- Snowflake Charm
- Flower Garden Murano Charm
- Logo Safety Chain

Lastly. Now I love Hawaiian Tropics sun oil for the summer, and have always bought loads when I go on holiday just so I get more a tan and so I smell nice! LOL. So when I saw my local Superdrug selling Hawaiian Tropics body mists, I thought these had to be good, so I started spraying them all, like you do until I found my favourite,  and of course, me being me, my favourite scent was the one that smelt of coconut. aka: Malibu. (my favourite alcoholic drink) I immediately fell in love with this body spray and pestered my mum so she'd get the hint I really like it and would love it for my birthday. And luckily I got it. In the scent, Golden Paradise.

With that, I popped into Hollister and bought a couple things. I love Hollister Body Sprays, I've always bought them since I was in secondary school, and have always used them since. It's quite annoying that they discontinue so many of the good scents each year, but they try and make up bringing in similar scents. Crescent Bay is the bottle I bought and it's soooo fruity. There was another body spray I bought but I didn't put it in this picture for some reason. Silly me.

SO that's a little of what I got for my birthday, and just a couple of my July/August favourites. Do you have any of these products? Do you recommend any beauty products, perfumes, body sprays? Let me know what you think!

Fake Kittens Beauty Review.

Hi Everyone!

I hope you are all well. Today I'm back with another review! So today I am going to be reviewing a brand called Fake Kittens. I was kindly sent these products to try, and as I loved them, I thought I would share them with you!

The three shades I was given, were, Thalia, Voodoo, and Dorothy. My favourite one just by the look of, was the middle one, Voodoo. It's such a beautiful colour, so light but dark. It's the perfect mauve colour. Thalia is the darker red, and Dorothy is the lighter red shade. I love the design of the lipsticks, especially because you can see the colour from the transparent bottom. The scent of the lipsticks are wonderful, there's a hint of vanilla and cocoa butter. When applying the lipstick, it's very easy on the lips and they feel very moistened.

(OH ONE MORE THING I FORGOT TO MENTION, ALL THESE LIPSTICKS ARE MATTE TOO!)

(T-B: Dorothy, Voodoo, Thalia.)

Dorothy: First of all, I think the name says it all. Dorothy is a great name for this shade. I'm hoping it's referring to Dorothy from The Wizard of Oz, because she always had bright red lips, if I am remembering that correctly. However, this is a lovely colour, it's not too light or too dark. Although I'm not a red lip kind of person, I really think this is a lovely, bold colour. It makes everything fit better on your face, the focus is your lips, which sometimes is all you want, someone to notice you are wearing a new lipstick or a new shade haha!

Thalia: Thalia is the darker shade of red. This is such a gorgeous colour! It shows up quite light in the picture, but it is in fact quite dark. This shade is lovely, I think it suits me better as it's a little darker, and not so light as Dorothy.

Voodoo: Leaving the best till last! Voodoo is a real beauty of a colour. It's the perfect mauve. I'm quite surprised I really like this colour only because of lightness of it and how the colour. I've always seen similar colours on people or advertised and I've always thought, 'no Amy, you'll look hideous.' But here I am wearing this colour and I bloody love it.

I hope you enjoyed this review! Check out Fake Kittens for their products. Let me know what colours you like? Or if there are any other brands that aren't so popular but have amazing products!

See yous later!

An ELF Haul.

Hello everyone, so today I thought I would do a little haul of some beauty products I love. They are all from the company ELF, (Eyes, Lips, Face). Now I've always seen the brand pop up on my Facebook, in the little advertisement boxes, but never gave it much thought. It was only until one of the pictures, was a rectangle contour brush, (look below), and I thought, 'oh my god, I've not seen one like this before!' So I went online and had a little look around the website and picked up a few goodies.

(Contour Brush, £7.50.)

ELF's contour brush is amazing. It makes your contour look so much better! It already gives you the detailed line, which you can then blend in. It's so easy on your skin, not harsh at all, and so easy for liquid contouring.

(Studio Baked Highlighter, in the shade, Blush Gems! £4.50!

This highlighter is bloody amazing! I absolutely love it! It is such a beautiful colour and makes the little part above the contoured cheekbones, look wonderful! It's a little glittery but not too much, which is great! It's a pinky-browny kind of colour but none the less it's wonderful on the cheekbones.

(Matte Magic Mist & Set Spray, £5.00!)
There was also a ELF studio Matte Magic Mist & Set spray which is really good. It keeps my make up on until the end of the day. It doesn't really have scent but it's always cold! You just spray a couple of times close but not so close to your face and bam we're done!

(ELF Mineral Lipstick, £7.00!)

ELF's mineral lipsticks are so hydrating on the lips. They are not as pigmented like other brands, but none the less the quality is good! These two colours were the only ones that took my fancy. There were others that were beautiful, I just didn't think they would suit me. However, applying them on my lips is easy to do, my lips feel moistened and definitely not dry, which is so good! They stay on for  long while, which is even better.

(L-R: Runway Pink & Rich Raspberry!)

All in all, ELF's makeup products are wonderful. I cannot find fault in any products, they all live up to the expectation, and the description provided on the website. I find ELF's products to be a very price too, they are not too expensive but are not too cheap which makes you unsure. I highly recommend.

I hope you enjoyed this blogpost! Do you own anything from ELF? What do you recommend?

My June Favourites!

Aloha guys and gals. Welcome to my blog.

So today I thought I would share some of my favourite beauty and non-beauty products that I have been loving this lovely month. I am so excited for this post and really hope you all enjoy it, as while writing it, I was so cheery and couldn’t wait for it to be finished and shared with you all. Soooo, let’s get into it.

So I thought I would start with my Fujifilm Instax Mini Camera! I love, love, love this little camera. It is so cute, and it so handy! I was so in-between buying this camera as I wasn’t sure if I would use it, would I like the size of the polaroid’s, would it be safe to take places, etcetera, etcetera. The hardest part was choosing which colour I wanted as there are so many to choose from, but I settled for the baby blue as it was so pretty and cute. I cannot get enough of this camera, it’s so easy to take places, it’s not at all heavy and the polaroid’s are adorably cute when they come out. The camera is great for capturing special moments that you can just hang right up on the wall or keep somewhere safe. (I purchased this for £58.99!)

Ardell lashes have always been a product I would hear off, but never pay much attention too. I would hear certain YouTuber’s say the brand when watching makeup tutorials but wouldn’t think much of it. It was only until recently my friend had bought some and told me about them, I’m not a wearer of lashes, and I really do not have a clue how to apply them. But I went online and found lots of Ardell lashes along with many others from different brands. Applying them was tricky but only because I had no idea and was a little nervous, but they are wonderful. They stayed on my lashes for a very long time until I pulled them off when I got home. They are so comfortable on the eyes, they don’t irritate, fall off, come loose, anything! (I purchased this 105 lashes, double pack for £6.99, or £3,99 for a single pack!)

I’m not a lover for foundation, I’ve never really bought any so I’ve never really worn any. My skin has always been clear and not needed anything to on it to cover anything. But I was online and saw this Sleek Bare Skin Foundation on a special offer of some sort and thought I would buy some and give it a go. I’m funny in a way, I only use foundation like a concealer, so under my eyes and for certain parts of my face. The coverage is okay, I don’t know foundation so I wouldn’t know if this is great or if this is poor. It brightens my face and will cover the dark circles under my eyes a little. (I purchased this in the colour, White Rose, for £1.99 – RRP £7.99!)

I love the brand ELF. I think their products are great and the quality great. I recently bought a whole lot of products from their website, so much so, I got a free goodie bag full of items because I spent so much! However, I bought their Studio Baked Highlighter in the colour Blush Gems. It’s the most prettiest highlighter I’ve seen. It is so pigmented and shows on my skin so well. It’s such a pretty highlighter and I cannot rave enough about it. (I purchased this for £4.50! YES, I know, £4.50!)

Now I love Hollister. I think it is the best shop ever! And I love their body mist sprays more than anything! They are such beautiful scents and they stay on for a very long time. I got the Solana Beach Mist one for Christmas and I still haven’t used it half of it. You really don’t need that much sprayed on. (I purchased this for £11, or 3 for £24.)

This one will be short because I talk about it all the time! My MAC lipstick. It’s a matte lipstick in the shade Velvet Teddy. It is BEAUTIFUL. I love it and wear it every day, like you all know. The colour is so beautiful, it’s a nude, but a brown, but a complete different colour. Whatever it is, I love it and cannot buy enough of them. (I purchased this for £15.50!)

And last but not least, the Estée Lauder Sumptuous Infinite, Daring Length + Volume Mascara. This was a free sample after I bought a massive makeup filled box that cost over £50 for my sister for Christmas. I got 3, free samples and choose this and some others. This has got to be the best mascara ever!! It makes my eyelashes so long and gives them such volume. I really have no idea how much this costs to buy on its own, (I’m not sure I want too either...), but it does such a great job and I really don’t want to use it all up. (I purchased this for FREE!)

I really hope you all enjoy this post! What are your June favourites?
